Christmas with Wildlife
Celebrate the Holidays with Soper Creek Wildlife Rescue.
After much deliberation and consideration, Soper Creek Wildlife Rescue has made the tough decision not to host the Annual WILD Winter Festival of Lights this holiday season.
There are many reasons for this, including the rising operational costs of the event, not receiving the government grant to help offset some of the costs, as well as our organization being the target of a $100,000.00 theft that has put us in a financial situation whereby we can’t sustain the additional costs to put on an event of this size.
As you know, we have temporarily closed the wildlife hospital but have been working hard to fundraise enough money to open the doors once again this coming spring, and in hopes of hosting the Wild Winter Festival of Lights again next year.

Christmas with Wildlife

Starting November 16 and running until December 17th, Soper Creek Wildlife Rescue will be hosting a special Christmas with Wildlife Event at our facility with very limited number of spots.
Many of the displays you fell in love with during the WILD Winter Festival of Lights, will be set up in our Enchanted Forest and illuminated for you to see.
Guests will enjoy a two hour time slot to walk the wildlife center and visit the different light displays.
In addition you will receive:
- Hot Chocolate and a Sweet Treat
- Warm Up by the Camp Fire
- 30 minute presentation featuring some of our wildlife ambassadors
- Holiday Family Photo (sent digitally) with one of our Ambassadors
$15 a person with all proceeds going to help save Durham Region’s ONLY Wildlife Rehabilitation Hospital, Soper Creek Wildlife Rescue.
