Your visit is more than just a tour—it’s an opportunity to build a meaningful connection with wildlife, gain a greater appreciation for Ontario’s native species, and discover how we can all play a role in protecting the world we share.
Every experience is fully guided by one of our experienced Wildlife Educators, who will introduce you to each ambassador, share their unique journey, and provide fascinating insights into their natural history, behaviours, and the important role they play in conservation. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, engage with interactive learning, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

for general visits.
Accessibility
Soper Creek Wildlife is nestled within the beautiful forests of the Oak Ridges Moraine, allowing visitors to experience wildlife in a natural setting. As a result, our pathways consist primarily of forest floor with uneven terrain, including tree roots, natural slopes, and other outdoor features.
Many guests using strollers, wheelchairs, and other mobility devices have successfully enjoyed their visit; however, we want everyone to be aware that the terrain may present additional challenges depending on individual mobility needs.
If you have any questions about accessibility or are unsure whether our grounds will meet your needs, please don’t hesitate to email us before your visit. We are happy to discuss your individual circumstances and will do our best to identify accommodations that can help make your experience as enjoyable and accessible as possible.
Guided Group Tour
Discover the world of Soper Creek Wildlife!
Join us for an engaging wildlife experience!
These shared public sessions allow multiple families and small groups to enjoy meeting our resident wildlife in a relaxed, social setting at a lower price than a private booking. Each session accommodates up to 15 guests in total, creating a fun and interactive experience with other wildlife enthusiasts.
During this 60-minute guided experience, you’ll get up close with several of our resident animals while learning about wildlife rehabilitation, conservation, and the inspiring rescue stories behind the animals in our care. Led by our knowledgeable wildlife educators, the experience concludes with the opportunity to interact with one of our animal ambassadors.
Pricing: $10 + HST per person (open to all ages)
Each booking must include at least one accompanying adult. Children must be accompanied by an adult from their own group.
Guided Group Tours are available Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays at 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until September 4th.
WILDlife Experience
Learn first-hand about Durham Region’s only wildlife rehabilitation and education centre!
Join one of our experienced Wildlife Educators to discover how the rehabilitation process works, what happens to animals that can’t be released, and—most importantly—the stories of how our permanent residents became part of our Animal Ambassador Team.
Your 1-hour WILD Tour is designed for up to 4 people (with at least one adult) and gives you the chance to get up close and personal with 5 of our Animal Ambassadors, which may include the fox family, groundhog, opossum, dingo, owl, bunnies, and skunks.
Please note: participants cannot choose which 5 Animal Ambassadors are included in the tour.

Totally Turtles
Discover the world of our resident turtles!
Join one of our experienced Wildlife Educators to explore the conservation of native species, the basics of handling and feeding, and tank maintenance.
Your 45-minute Turtle Care Session is designed for up to 4 people (with at least one adult) and gives you the chance to get hands-on experience caring for our turtles.

Bunny-Palooza
Experience Bunny-Palooza and enjoy pure bunny love!
Join one of our experienced Wildlife Educators to learn all about caring for domestic bunnies, as well as the basics of wild rabbit rehabilitation. August and Otis are waiting to meet you!
Your 45-minute Bunny-Palooza session is designed for up to 4 people (with at least one adult) and gives you the chance to engage with our bunnies hands-on.

Groundhog Day
Celebrate Groundhog Day every day at Soper Creek Wildlife!
Join one of our experienced Wildlife Educators to learn the basics of caring for and handling our resident groundhog, fun facts about the species, and how to provide enrichment.
Your 45-minute Groundhog Day session is designed for up to 4 people (with at least one adult) and gives you the chance to learn & engage with our groundhog, Gary, who is a fan favourite with his diva attitude!

Give a hoot & Hang
Meet our owls and discover the world of birds of prey!
Join one of our experienced Wildlife Educators to meet our screech owl, Ginny, and our great horned owl, Echo! You’ll learn fun facts about owls, the basics of caring for birds of prey, and may even see some of our other feathered friends on the property. You’ll also have the opportunity to make special enrichment items for them.
Your 45-minute Give a Hoot & Hang session is designed for up to 4 people (with at least one adult) and gives you the chance to learn about, observe, and appreciate the behaviour, personalities, and unique adaptations of these amazing birds up close.

Your 45-minute Outstanding Opossums session is designed for up to 4 people (with at least one adult) and gives you the chance to learn about, observe, and appreciate the behaviour and personalities of this unique creature up close.

Wildlife Enrichment
Discover the art of Wildlife Enrichment!
Wildlife enrichment is vital for all species, as it enhances their quality of life and helps them develop important survival skills. In this experience, you’ll gain in-depth knowledge on how to create enrichment items for the species of your choice and see firsthand how these activities benefit the animals’ physical and mental well-being.
Your 3-hour Wildlife Enrichment session is designed for up to 4 people (with at least one adult) and gives you the chance to learn, create, and observe enrichment in action with our wildlife care team.
Pricing:
$200+hst for up to 4 participants (open to all ages)

Wildlife Caretaker for a Day
Become a Wildlife Caretaker for a Day!
Caring for wildlife is a labour of love and essential for the conservation of the species that call Ontario home. In this experience, you’ll learn the fundamentals of caring for our Animal Ambassadors, including food preparation, enclosure maintenance, and providing enrichment to keep them healthy and engaged.
Your 3-hour Wildlife Caretaker for a Day session is designed for up to 4 people (with at least one adult) and gives you the chance to learn, observe, and participate in the daily care of our amazing animals.
Pricing:
$200 + HST for up to 4 participants (open to all ages)
Additional participants: $50 + HST each (maximum 2 extra participants)
