OUTDOOR EDUCATION

Does your child love the outdoors?  Our Forest & Nature School runs weekday and weekend educational programs for both home-schoolers and kids who just love nature and want to learn more!

Spend the day hiking the Oak Ridges Moraine, learn about Ontario wildlife, animal tracks, tree identification, and much more. What is really amazing, is that we have incorporated the important concepts of MATH, SCIENCE, ART, LITERACY, and of course ANIMALS into all of our programs!

Soper Creek Wildlife Rescue is committed to bringing education to life! No matter what is going on in society, our children deserve the opportunity to explore the natural world around them. Soper Creek is excited to be able to offer a unique, outdoor education experience in which we can foster a love of nature while continuing to grow as learners in a small group setting with physical distancing as outlined by the Ministry of Health and other precautions in place.

Our dedicated team of Wildlife Educators is excited to combine curriculum expectations from Kindergarten-Grade 6 with our passion for all things WILD!  All educational material presented is grade-specific, curriculum-based programming which is based on the learner’s curiosity. By creating a program using an inquiry-based stance, we are able to make learning fun through the use of hands-on learning objects like pelts, skulls, bones, and native plants and animals. Education is brought to life through the wonderful lessons our Animal Ambassadors can teach us.

WILD Camps

Your child will love our 100% educational, 100% outdoor, 100% interactive day camps! Children will gain a new appreciation for the animals and nature in their own backyards, and how to take care of them.

With age-geared activities and something new each day, our camps are 100% fun!

Homeschool Programs

WILD Weekdays provide an interactive and outdoor learning experience, geared toward homeschoolers and those enrolled in 100% Online Learning.

Engaging learners using these real-life examples, our Educators will touch on all areas of the curriculum, with a different focus each day.

School-Aged Programs
