Every organism is part of something bigger. Grade 7 students investigate the complex interactions that shape ecosystems and explore how living things depend on one another and their environment. By examining food webs, relationships between organisms, and the flow of energy through ecosystems, students develop a deeper understanding of the delicate connections that support healthy, functioning environments. WILD Health: When Wildlife Gets Sick
Wild animals get sick too—but what happens when an illness spreads through an entire population? WILD Health explores the fascinating connection between wildlife health, ecosystems, and people.
Through real-life case studies, hands-on activities, and interactive discussions, students will investigate how diseases spread, how animals respond to illness, and why changes in wildlife populations can have ripple effects throughout an ecosystem.

Heroes 4 Wildlife
You don’t need a cape to be a wildlife hero! Heroes 4 Wildlife inspires students to discover how their everyday choices can make a BIG difference for Ontario’s wildlife and the environment.
Through interactive learning, real-life wildlife stories, and hands-on activities, students will explore the challenges local animals face and discover simple, meaningful ways they can help—from protecting habitats and reducing waste to making wildlife-friendly choices at home and school.
WILD Mythbusters
Fact or fiction? Truth or tall tale? It’s time to uncover the real stories behind Ontario’s wildlife!
In WILD Mythbusters, students will put their wildlife knowledge to the test as we investigate some of the most common myths, misconceptions, and surprising truths about the animals living in our forests, fields, wetlands, and neighbourhoods.
Through interactive challenges, thought-provoking questions, and plenty of “Wait… REALLY?!” moments, students will separate fact from fiction and discover just how incredible Ontario wildlife really is.
WILD Engineers
No hard hats required—some of Ontario’s wildlife are expert engineers! WILD Engineers explores how animals can shape, build, and transform the environments around them.
Through hands-on activities, interactive challenges, and real-world examples, students will discover how beavers build dams, birds create nests, insects transform soil, and other animals modify their habitats to meet their needs.
