WelLness in the wild

Adults! This ones for you!

Soper Creek Wildlife Rescue is excited to pair with Mike Bilsky for our first ever Mental Health and Wellness Sessions - Wellness in the Wild!

We believe in the power of nature and connecting to what grounds us. According to a journal article published by Front Public Health, “Research to date has shown that nature exposure can provide a wide range of mental health benefits, related to attention and cognition, memory, stress and anxiety, sleep, emotional stability, and self-perceived welfare or quality of life”.

For us who work and volunteer at Soper Creek - we can attest to the benefits that being outdoors and connecting with animals provides. That’s why we are so excited about our new programs!

This program will be a 5 week session focused on you and your mental health and wellness. The last year has been particularly challenging on us all. It’s time to take the ‘me’ time you deserve and reconnect with yourself and your well-being.

Each of our sessions will have a different theme, and you will have the opportunity to participate in activities that are grounded in research and the positive effects they can have on your mental health.
